  • ~1/4000 sec at 1/8
  • ~1/8000 sec at 1/16

  • ~1/20,000 sec at 1/28

Features:

  • tilt and swivel head
  • ability to use any of 7 interchangeable flash heads (standard, wide angle, zoom, infrared, ringlight, diffused and bare bulb)
  • Camera bracket that lets you attach the bracket to the cameras tripod hole, and have the flash off to the side of your camera / also usefull for gripping
  • no zoom, 35mm (63 degree) coverage only
  • Mounts on tripod thread, not hot shoe

Bottom Line:

It's a really powerful flash, however it's useless at full power for action sports, and barely useable at 1/2 power.  Ideally you'd want to use it at 1/4 power or less.  It's also still quite expensive, at $250 on adorama.  Might be an alright addition to your flash fleet, however it's big, heavy and the extra power isn't useable because of the slow ass durations.
